Ramya joined the National Health Co-op as a registered General Practitioner in 2015 following extensive work experience and training at various hospitals and private clinics in India. Prior to that, Ramya practiced as a General Practitioner at a private clinic in Tamil Nadu, India. She practiced at the Chisholm Clinic under the NHC and stayed on at the now revamped Chisholm Medical Centre and Skin clinic under new management.
Ramya obtained her medical degree from the Madras Medical College in Chennai, India. She obtained her further qualification of Diploma in Child Health from Westmead Children's Hospital, Sydney. Ramya also holds an AMC certificate and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
She speaks fleunt English.
